Men's skin is different

A man’s skin has unique biological characteristics. Even though it’s naturally thicker and more resilient, masculine skin is also subject to a multitude of aggressions.

In addition to shaving, external conditions can cause men’s skin to become irritated, dehydrated and weakened.

Redness and sensations of discomfort may occur, as well as certain problems related to shaving or male skin’s oily nature.

It is for these reasons that men need products that can be used daily and are tailored to the uniqueness of their skin.

4 things to know about men's skin

1 -Thickness
Men’s skin is on average 25% thicker than that of women and, by extension, more resilient.
2 - Aging
The signs of aging appear later in men. The skin changes more slowly but creases more deeply, leading to the appearance of wrinkles.
3 - Oil tendency
Male skin secretes 2 times more sebum than women’s skin does; it is thus oilier and prone to be shinier. Men’s skin also has more pores, which tend to be more dilated.
4 - Regular shaving
A man will shave 16,000 times on average during his lifetime. By removing cells from the top layer of the epidermis, daily shaving stresses the skin and can cause irritation.
